IDD providers: HCS, TxHmL, group homes, day programs

Website Design for IDD Providers in Texas

Websites for Texas HCS and TxHmL providers, group homes, host home programs, day habilitation and supported employment: program pages families and case managers understand, a direct support careers page with mobile apply, and a host home recruitment page built to fill unstaffed homes.

Who this is for

Providers running group homes, host home and companion care, day habilitation, supported employment and respite for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the Texas HCS and TxHmL waivers, and the ICF/IID homes alongside them. Most are small, most are in the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio areas, and almost none of them have a website that does any work.

That is the opportunity. When a family comes off the interest list holding a list of provider names from the local IDD authority, they look every one of them up. The provider with a clear, calm, current website gets the call. The rest get skipped.

Three readers, three jobs

An IDD provider site has to work for all of them:
  • Families and guardians choosing a provider: what each program is, in plain language, what a day looks like, who the staff are, and how to ask for a visit.
  • Service coordinators and case managers at the LIDDA: your programs, counties served, which waivers you hold, and a direct way to reach the person who handles referrals.
  • Direct support professionals and host home providers: a careers page with mobile apply, and a host home recruitment page that explains the role, the support and the pay honestly.

Program pages that explain the waiver without the acronyms

Residential support, supervised living, host home and companion care, day habilitation, supported employment, respite, nursing and therapies. We write each as a page a parent can read in five minutes, with the HCS and TxHmL terms explained once rather than assumed. Spanish versions are available, and in most Texas counties they are worth it.

Recruiting is half the site

An unstaffed home is an empty home. The careers page takes a three-field application from a phone, feeds Indeed and ZipRecruiter, and is written for the person deciding between your agency and a warehouse shift. The host home recruitment page does the same job for the families who might open their home, and it is almost always the first one of its kind in your county.

Plans and what they include

Essentials is $2,500 to build plus $350 a month: six to eight pages on our provider template, live about a week after we have your content. Standard is $4,500 plus $650 a month with up to 14 pages, individual residence pages, a Spanish version, a family resource hub and a case manager section. Multi-Program covers several waiver programs or a home health line: multi-program, multi-county, bilingual, with a recruiting microsite, at $7,500 plus $1,100 a month. Every plan includes hosting, backups, security monitoring, an hour of edits each month and a quarterly check-in.

Questions we get asked

We only have one or two homes. Do we need a website?

If you want to fill them, yes. Families look you up before they call, and a provider with no site or an abandoned one reads as a provider that may not be around next year. Essentials exists for one- and two-home providers.

Can the site help us get referrals from the LIDDA?

It can make it easy. Service coordinators want programs, counties, openings and a referral contact in one place. A case manager page with exactly that, kept current, gets shared internally.

Do you understand the HCS program?

Yes. We have built for HCS and TxHmL providers, and our sister product Sereniq is IDD group home operations software, so the program rules and the day-to-day realities are familiar to us.

How fast can we be live?

Essentials goes live about a week after we have your content. Standard and Multi-Program take three to five weeks depending on the number of programs and whether we are writing the Spanish version.
